(Eagle News) — Several lawyers are taking Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to court over a comment they said incited sedition and rebellion.
The group of Former Negros Oriental Rep. Jacinto Paras, Manuel Luna, Nasser Marohomsalic, and Eligio Mallari said Trillanes should be taken to task for a portion of his privilege speech on Oct. 3, in which they said he “encouraged the military to kill” President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Kung makikita ito (Duterte’s alleged ill-gotten wealth) ng mga sundalo, M-60 ang gagamitin sa iyo kasi marami rami ito. Mauubos yung magasin, kung P40 million yung hinahanap mo,” Trillanes had said.
The group said they would file the rebellion and sedition charges against Trillanes after several days.
