(Eagle News) — Tropical Depression “Henry” is expected to bring rains in several parts of the country as it accelerates and moves westward toward extreme northern Luzon.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin on Monday, July 16, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of 7 a.m., the center of “Henry” was located 440 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan.
The tropical depression, PAGASA said, is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 65 kilometers per hour.
Signal Number 1 has been hoisted over Batanes, the northern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands, northern portion of Apayao, and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte.
The tropical depression is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, July 18.
“The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate action,” PAGASA said.
