(Eagle News)–Congress is more likely to hold its special session for the passage of a supplemental budget against the coronavirus disease 2019 on Saturday.
This is according to Senate President Tito Sotto, in a message to reporters on Friday, March 20.
He said the session will be livestreamed.
Those who wish to cover the session may do so, but following specific guidelines which will be released, he said.
Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte called on Congress to pass the supplemental budget, as the government moves to mitigate the effects of an enhanced community quarantine.
Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano said the House of Representatives would follow social.distancing measures when the special session takes place.
