Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III bared on Thursday, April 26, the candidates the Nationalist People’s Coalition was likely to support in the 2019 elections.

Included in the initial list were Senators Grace Poe, Nancy Binay, Cynthia Villar, Sonny Angara and Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetno.

Also included were Senate President Koko Pimentel, Davao Mayor Sara Duterte and Special Assistant to the President Bong Go.

Sotto said Senator Bam Aquino would also most likely be part of the list as NPC chairman Eduardo ‘Danding’ Cojuangco will support him.

Actor Lito Lapid, he said, was also among those being considered after he made it to the list of people who were most likely to be voted in the Senate in a recent Pulse Asia survey.

“The NPC is going to have a party-building conference and workshop from May 17 to 20. After that they will be able to finalize our list,” he said.
