(Eagle News) — Senator Tito Sotto on Monday raised the possibility of SP03 Arthur Lascañas’ affidavit being written by several people, saying there were parts that were written in a different font.
“Parang cinopy, pinaste from somewhere, pinasok sa affidavit,” Sotto said in reference to the “‘Origins of the Davao Death Squad’ part to Number 13′” of Lascañas’ written statement.
“Kayo ba nagprepare nito? Bakit iba font, iba size?” the senator asked Lascañas during Monday’s Senate hearing into the so-called killings of what he claimed was a Davao Death Squad.
Lascañas paused and leafed through his affidavit for several minutes, prompting Senator Panfilo Lacson, chairman of the Senate committee on public safety and order conducting the inquiry, to tell him to answer the question.
“Maybe it was the lawyer. Probably po,” Lascañas said.
