Southwest monsoon affecting western section of Northern Luzon

PAGASA monitoring LPA off Batanes

(Eagle News) — The southwest monsoon is affecting the western section of Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is also monitoring a low pressure area estimated 520 km east of Basco, Batanes,

PAGASA said Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Abra, Apayao and Kalinga, as a result, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

The rest of the country, PAGASA said, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
