QUEZON City, Philippines, July 2 (Eagle News) — House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. said he plans to join the Philippines delegation to The Hague by next week to defend the country’s claim over disputed islands in the West Philippine Sea.
Belmonte said that he wanted to witness the oral arguments that presented by the Philippine panel against the China’s claim over the disputed territory.
The scheduled oral defense will be held at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, Netherlands on July 7 to 13. (Eagle News Service)
