(Reuters) — Sporting Lisbon (Sporting Clube de Portugal) trained at their ground at Alcochete on Monday (October 17) in preparation for their Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Sporting have already ruled out Radoslav Petrovic and Adrien Silva as unfit for the match, now full back Jefferson is also out after picking up an injury over the weekend.
Defender Ruben Semedo is declared fit however and trained with the squad.
Sporting’s Group F opponents flew in on Sunday evening (October 16) for a more relaxed schedule before Tuesday’s (October 18) matchday three game in Lisbon.
Borussia Dortmund top the Group F table with a win and a draw from their two matches plus a healthy eight goals for and two against, putting them above Real Madrid, who also have won one and drawn one match.
Sporting lie third having lost 2-1 to Real Madrid and won 2-0 against Poland’s Legia Warsaw earlier.
