QUEZON City, Philippines — For its 60th Anniversary, the Social Security System conducted a simple celebration with President Rodrigo Duterte as their guest of honor.
Social Security Commission Chairman Amado D. Valdez said that they decided to make the celebration simple and to donate half of their anniversary budget as financial aid to those who were affected by the Marawi conflict and the earthquake in Ormoc.
He said that this would be more meaningful for SSS, as more people who need the money would benefit from this action.
The SSS 60th Anniversary Celebration was held simultaneously in its 301 local and foreign offices.
Their month-long activities include Members’ Day, Balikat ng Bayan Awards, Photo Exhibit, Best Employees’ Program, Fun Run, and Blood Donation Drive.
