The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Philippines have already met the criteria for the official declaration of strong El Niño affecting the country.
It is said that 58% of the Philippines is suffering from the effects of the strong El Niño and that this may increase to 85% by February 2016.
