Supreme Court appoints new clerk of court

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Supreme Court appointed a new en banc clerk of court, after Atty. Felipa Anama retired last February 2.

Nine out of 14 justices of the Supreme Court voted for Atty. Edgar Aricheta.

Aricheta prior to his appointment to the en banc was a clerk of court of the SC first division. He is the most senior among the aspirants for the position.

As the en banc’s clerk of court, he will also assigned to sit as the clerk of court of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) which handles election protest cases for president and vice presidential contests.

He graduated from the Ateneo College of Law.
