(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte’s government kept its “very good” net satisfaction rating, based on the latest Social Weather Stations survey.
The +64 rating is two points lower than the net rating his administration posted in the SWS March survey.
Duterte’s government registered the highest net satisfaction rating in September (+66).
The government scored a “very good” net score in several aspects such as helping the poor (+65), protecting human rights (+55), defending the country’s territorial rights (+51), and providing jobs (+51).
The SWS said based on the poll results, the government garnered a “good” net rating score in fighting terrorism (+49), foreign relations (+44), fighting crimes (+43), eradicating graft and corruption (+43), solving the problem of extrajudicial killings (+34), and in reconciling with Muslim rebels (+32).
Duterte’s administration also got a “good” net rating in ensuring that no family will ever go hungry (+32) and in reconciling with communist rebels (+31), based on the survey.
The government got a “moderate” rating in three aspects: recovering alleged hidden wealth (+26), resolving the traffic problem (+25), and fighting inflation (+24).
The June 2017 SWS survey was done via face-to-face interviews from June 23 to 26.
There were 1,200 adult-respondents (18 years old and above) for the survey nationwide—- 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Sampling error margins are pegged at ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
