Philippines records lower number of out-of-school youth

MANILA, Philippines – According to the Philippine Institute for Developmental Studies, from 2.9 million out-of-school youth in 2008, the number decreased to 1.2 million. The said agency acknowledged the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the Kingdergarten Education Act as the major factors for lowering said number of out-of-school youth. 9 injured in stampede in Valencia City, Bukidnon

At least nine individuals were reported injured, with three of them brought to the hospital, following a stampede in Valencia City gymnasium in Bukidnon.
