(Eagle News) — The lawyer of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said the P60 million which the Department of Tourism paid PTV 4 for the placement of tourism advertisements in her brothers’ program will be returned.
“Nakausap ko si Mr. Ben Tulfo, kanina lamang po, sinabi niya na napagpasyahan po nila na bagamat wala po sa kanya ‘yong P60 million dahil nagastos na po, gagawa po sila ng paraan at i-o-offer na nila na ibalik na po up to the last centavo kung ano man ang naibayad sa kanila ng PTV4,” lawyer Ferdinand Topacio said in a radio interview.
Erwin Tulfo also appears in the program “Kilos Pronto.”
Even then, Topacio said the Tulfos maintained there was no irregularity in the placement of advertisements.
““They will ask the (Commission on Audit) kung ano pong mechanism para ito’y maibalik,” he said.
The COA red-flagged the project, saying it lacked the necessary documents.
