LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) — The American Music Awards (AMAs) kicked off at the Microsoft Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 19) with the various nominees, guests, presenters and performers hitting the red carpet ahead of the show.
Among those attending were Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban, Pink, Selena Gomez, Demi Levato, Niall Horan, Kelly Clarkson, Jamie Foxx, K-Pop band BTS, and actors from the hit television shows Stranger Things and Riverdale.
The nominees for the AMAs are selected through measurements on fan interactions across Billboard Magazine and Billboard.com, which include figures from music sales, touring, streaming and radio airplay and social activity from Sept. 9, 2016 to Sept. 14, 2017, organizers said.
