(Eagle News) — Guests from Sierra Leone and Ghana who joined the Iglesia Ni Cristo Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty in Athens, Greece described the global charity walk as “fantastic” as they saw the sincerity of the INC’s efforts to help the poor communities in Africa.
Ishmael Kamara and Aruna Rashid Kamara from Sierra Leone said they “liked” the event very much.
Adjetey Sowah from Ghana also said they enjoyed joining the INC walk that would help some of their folks in Africa.
They also greeted all their friends and family members in Africa.
Iglesia Ni Cristo members, both young and old, participated in the “Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty” on Sunday, May 6 in Athens, Greece — one of the more than 300 sites across 18 time zones that participated in the simultaneous global charity walk.
The event was held in Pikioni Square (Children’s Square) where most embassies are located in Athens, Greece.
The 1.6 kilometer walk to help poor communities in Africa attracted the attention even of the locals in the area.
Independent witnesses invited to the occasion also expressed admiration for the charity walk.
