(Eagle News) — Three earthquakes struck Davao Oriental on Friday, Feb. 22, in a span of 18 minutes.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the first earthquake struck 72 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 5 a.m.
It had a depth of focus of 41 kilometers.
Six minutes later, a quake, with a depth of focus of 28 kilometers, hit 8 kilometers northeast of Baganga.
This was followed by another earthquake 23 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 5:18 a.m.
This quake had a depth of focus of 21 kilometers.
No damage nor aftershocks were expected from the three earthquakes, which were all tectonic in origin, PHIVOLCS said.
