(Eagle News) Aug. 12, 11:10 a.m. — Metro Manila is experiencing heavy rains and thunderstorms since around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12.
PAGASA has issued a thunderstorm warning Wednesday morning, saying thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna and other areas of Bataan within the next two hours or until 12 noon.
As of 11 a.m., thunderstorm is affecting not only Metro Manila, but areas of Bataan, Cavite (Gen. Trias, Maragondon), Rizal (Taytay, Antipolo), Quezon (GenNakar, Real, Mauban, Infa
All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods. Keep monitoring for updates, PAGASA said.
PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will continue to affect the western section of Northern Luzon, and that there is no tropical depression inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
It said that cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Ilocos region. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southeast to southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to southwest with slight to moderate seas.
