Thunderstorms expected in parts of country today due to easterlies

(Eagle News)–Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the country today as the easterlies affect Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Caraga and Eastern Visayas will have
cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms , the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Flash floods due to scattered light to moderate rains are also possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, according to the weather bureau.

Northern Luzon, the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate winds and coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate winds, the weather bureau said.
