Thunderstorms expected in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News)—Thunderstorms are expected in parts of the Philippines today, April 9, as the easterlies affect Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Quezon, Bicol Region, Central and Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Flash floods due to scattered light to moderate rains are possible.

Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will have partly cloudy skies due to the ridge of the HPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will have moderate  winds and coastal waters.

The eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
