(Eagle News) — Transport Network Vehicle Service drivers on Monday, Aug. 20, filed a P5-million lawsuit against PBA Party-list Rep. Jericho Nograles for their alleged losses resulting from the suspension of the P2-per-minute charges.
It was the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board that ordered the suspension of the policy, after Nograles claimed these were illegal charges.
In July, the LTFRB also ordered Grab to pay P10 million in penalties for the charges from June 5, 2017 to April 10, 2018.
Hindi na po namin kaya,” ” Organized Transporters Network founder Marvin De Belen said in a statement.
“Lubayan mo na kami. Iniipit mo ang kabuhayan namin,” De Belen added.
