(Eagle News)—-Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was given ten days to submit a counter-affidavit to the libel charges filed against him by former Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and lawyer Mans Carpio.
The charges, filed before the Davao Prosecutors Office, stem from a radio interview Trillanes gave in 2017 in which he accused the presidential son and the presidential son-in-law of asking money from Uber and other firms regulated by the Road Board, the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
Both Duterte and Carpio have dismissed the allegations.
