(Eagle News) — Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday named the supposed source of the offshore bank account information President Rodrigo Duterte said was the senator’s.
In a privilege speech, Trillanes said that the “fake” information came from one Daniel “Snooky” Cruz, an individual who claimed to be a “forensic expert,” who was “well-connected” with the United States Embassy and a former agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“Kaya raw niya magkaroon ng access sa kahit anong bank accounts sa mundo,” he said.
The senator alleged that Cruz sold the “fake bank account” information to Malacanang for P10 million.
The P3 million, he claimed, was retained by Cruz, while the remaining was given to “middlemen.”
According to the senator, Cruz also sold “fake bank account” information on Senator Leila de Lima last year.
