Typhoon “Gardo” expected to leave PAR as early as Tuesday night

(Eagle News) — Typhoon “Gardo” has weakened as it moved towards waters north of the country.

Based on the weather bureau’s forecast, the eye of Typhoon “Gardo” the eye of Typhoon “Gardo” was located based on all available data at 760 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (23.6 N, 128.5 E).  It has weakened and has maximum sustained winds of 170 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is moving West Northwest at 30 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said typhoon “Gardo” is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, the southwest moonsoon or “habagat” continues to affect the provinces of Luzon and Visayas.
