QUEZON City, Philippines, August 19 (Eagle News) — According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), typhoon “Ineng” has maintained its strength as it countinues to move westward.
As of 12 PM today 19 August 2015, typhoon “Ineng” (GONI) was located based on all available data at 780 km east of Calayan, Cagayan (19.0°N, 128.9°E)
Public Storm Warning Signal No.1 was raised in the areas of Batanes, Cagayan, Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands.
PAGASA also added that thunderstorm is affecting Tarlac (SanJose), some portion of Zambales which may persist within 2 hours.
Expect thunderstorm over Pampanga and other areas of Tarlac within the next 2 hours.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods. Keep monitoring for updates.
On the other hand, enhanced “Habagat” currently affecting Palawan and Visayas, occasional rains over the western section of Luzon including Metro Manila possible beginning Thursday until early next week.
