President Rodrigo Duterte and other Cabinet members received United States of America (USA) Senator Cory Gardner of the State of Colorado at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on Wednesday, May 31.
Senator Gardner is also the chair of the Sub-committee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cyber Crime Policy of the USA Senate.
This is the first official visit to the Philippines of the senator, who was received in a courtesy call and working dinner.
He was accompanied by his National Security Adviser Igor Khrestin; the Ambassador of the United States to the Philippines, H.E. Sung Kim; US Embassy’s Chief for Political Section Internal Unit Geoff Siebengartner; Navy Senate Liaison Officer Lt. Mary Sl; and Senior Defense Official Col. Ernest Lee.
