(Eagle News) — Two-time collegiate champion coach Aldin Ayo has signed a contract to coach the University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers for six years.
The university’s official publication, The Varsitarian, made the announcement on its Twitter account.
It said officials of UST’s Institute of Physical Education and Athletics would make a formal announcement on January 11.
In a series of Tweets on Tuesday night, Ayo explained why he decided to transfer from the Dela Salle University to UST.
“We have different views in handling the team. I’ve always done what is necessary,” Ayo said.
Ayo was responsible for the Green Archers’ dominant campaign in Season 79 of the UAAP.
