(Eagle News)–The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) on Saturday, Sept. 15, announced the suspension of UAAP games scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 16.
In a social media post, UAAP President Nilo Ocampo said the suspension was due to heavy rains brought about by “Ompong,” which continues to ravage Metro Manila.
Ocampo said the games will be reset to another date.
“Thank you and stay safe!” he said.
Earlier, the UAAP suspended events scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 15, and chess tournament events also due to “Ompong.”
