Uber Philippines files petition for fare increase

(Eagle News) — Uber Philippines has filed a petition for a fare hike before the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

The petition, filed on Wednesday, seeks a P12 per kilometer fare instead of the P5 per kilometer fare.

In their earlier petition, Grab Philippines sought a fare hike of as much as P15 per kilometer.

The LTFRB has said it would hold a hearing for the two petitions.

LTFRB chair Martin Delgra has also said the agency was mulling only one fare structure for all transport network vehicle service operators.
