QUEZON City, Philippines – In a United Nations Correspondents’ Association Reception in New York, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon expressed his misgivings regarding statements made by incoming President Rodrigo Duterte about the issue of extra-judicial and media killings. Ban added that he is extremely concerned about Duterte’s seeming promotion of extra-judicial killings as this is against human rights and freedom. He also said that he supports the freedom of media in the Philippines.
