(Eagle News) —  United Kingdom witnessed a united Worldwide Walk against Poverty conducted by members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) coming from various places such as Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Flintshire, Manchester and London to name a few.

All were excitedly determined to be part of the global charity walk in which UK was one of the more than 300 sites that participated.

INC members and guests in the United Kingdom started their walk at the Victoria Embankment Gardens, and proceeded along the river Thames towards the Houses of Parliament.

The first Worldwide Walk in February 2014 was for the benefit of supertyphoon Haiyan (Yoland) victims in the Philippines.

In this 2018 Worldwide Walk, the goal is to fight poverty in Africa.

The official route passed the Elizabeth Tower which houses Big Ben (the Great Bell) and The New Palace of Westminster, originally known as The Houses of Parliament. Walkers enjoyed views from Westminster to Trafalgar and then over towards Waterloo Bridge.

Large groups of people that normally pass here usually march to protest against something.

On May 6, the British public witnessed something different. Police escorts where also curious. What they saw was a united stand by the INC for world wide walk against poverty.
