US Dep’t of Homeland Security announces National Emergency Determination

Vaccines now made available for child care providers in the US District of Columbia

 

The Department of Homeland Security took steps to implement President Joe Biden’s Executive Order on Promoting COVID-19 Saftey in Domestic and International Travel.

The National Emergency Determination is basically a declaration by David P. Pekoske, Acting DHS Secretary, that says that a national emergency exists and that he directs the Transportation Security Administration or the TSA to take actions to implement the Executive Order. It also instructs the TSA to promote safety in and secure the secure the transportation system.

Also, in the District of Columbia, health officials announce vaccination will open for child care providers and independent school teachers and staff.
