(Eagle News)–A vessel rammed a sea wall while docking in the Batangas Port on Friday, April 19.
The Department of Transportation said the incident involving the MV RDI Genesis I of RDI Genesis Inc. took place at 6 a.m.
The agency did not say if there were casualties but said a suspension order would follow.
Meanwhile, several shipping operators cancelled their trips today:
1. SuperCat – No trips
2. Fastcat – No morning trips; will resume at 8 pm today
3. Atienza Inter-island Ferries Inc – Last trip today bound for Puerto Galera at 6:45am
4. Montenegro Shipping Lines Inc – Last trip today bound for Puerto Galera at 6:00am
5. Oceanjet – With trips until 4:50pm today
The DOTr said there was a “minimal” volume of passengers and cargoes at the port, where operations continue normally.
