(Eagle News)–Veteran actress Amalia Fuentes has died.
Her death was announced by her grandson in a Facebook post.
“It is with great sadness that I together with my siblings Alyanna and Alissa, inform you that our Grandmother, Amalia Amador Muhlach has taken her last breath this morning in the Philippines,” Alfonso Martinez, son of Amalia’s daughter, the late Liezl Martinez, and actor Albert Martinez said.
The cause of death was not cited but in a radio interview, Niño Muhlach, her nephew, said it was multiple organ failure.
The actress had suffered a stroke a few years ago and was reportedly bed-ridden since then.
Details of the wake have yet to be announced.
