(Reuters) — On Wednesday (November 30), more than a dozen ‘Angels’ were attended to by a busy team of hair and make-up artists in the run up to the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.
This year the glitzy event is taking place in Paris – a first for the French capital.
Top models, including sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Alessandra Ambrosio, joked around and posed for photographers backstage in their lacy lingerie and dressing gowns.
When Kendall Jenner was asked how she felt ahead of the big fashion spectacle, she told Reuters: “I think we’ve all kinda been exchanging tips and stuff. It’s nice in rehearsals, you kind of see the girls walk and all the faces they do and whatever, so you can exchange, ‘Oh maybe you should do this or whatever”.
She added that smiling was her best tip for any models making their debut on the catwalk.
Californian Jasmine Tookes will don the multimillion dollar jewel-encrusted Fantasy Bra. She said she was “excited” and “honoured”.
“I’m feeling so excited, today is finally the day I get to put it on again and walk down the runway and I feel so honoured to be following in the footsteps of so many supermodels in the past that have worn it,” said Tookes.
The Victoria’s Secret Angels will be strutting their stuff at the Grand Palais while musicians Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd perform.
The full show will be televised on December 5.
