Video captures man breaking into fast food joint to cook burgers

WASHINGTON, D.C., United States (Reuters) – Police in Washington, D.C. are looking for a burger thief after a man broke in a Five Guys restaurant and made himself a meal.

In surveillance video released by Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department from a Five Guys restaurant in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, the man is seen in the kitchen between 3:10am and 5:05am on March 18.

The suspect can be seeing walking around the restaurant before turning on the grill, checking the grill’s temperature and then and cooking a meal.

Police say the man stole a bottle of water in addition to the food that he cooked, according to reports.

Officials say the incident is being investigated as a burglary and DC Crime Solvers is offering a reward of $1,000 dollars for any information that leads to the arrest.
