QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police has released the close-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from Resorts World Manila to prove that the attack on the casino last week was not part of a terror attack.
After indiscriminately firing his gun and setting fire to various casino properties, the suspect identified as Jessie Carlos, a former employee of the Department of Finance who was deep in debt due to gambling, allegedly committed suicide.
The incident killed at least 37 people due to suffocation, and injured dozens.
