Over 200 firefighters were battling a wildfire that scorched 50 acres in Southern California on Wednesday (July 15)
The Ventura County Fire Department told local media outlets that 233 firefighters were in the Lake Sherwood area in Ventura County, about 40 miles (64km) west of Los Angeles.
Multiple agencies were on the scene battling the fire with helicopters and airplanes dropping water and fire retardant on flames.
Officials said no structures were immediately threatened by the blaze but aerials show the fire approaching nearby communities.
