Workers in Central Visayas get P13 wage hike

(Eagle News) — Good news for workers in Central Visayas!

Starting Friday, March 10, workers in the private sector in Central Visayas will receive an additional P13.00 in their minimum wage.

According to DOLE RO7 Regional Director Exequiel R. Sarcauga, the areas that will receive the new daily minimum wage includes the workers in Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor and Negros Oriental.

Under the new wage order, the salary of minimum wage earners of first class municipalities in commercial and industrial establishments in cities will receive a daily wage of Php 366.

While, those in second class municipalities, the take-home pay of workers per day will rise to Php 333.00

The third class municipalities will receive a daily rate pay of Php 323.00, while workers in fourth class municipalities including the cities of Siquijor, Bantayan Island and Camotes Island will receive P308 per day.
