In photos: Scenic town of Johnsonville, Connecticut, joins INC Worldwide Walk vs poverty
(Eagle News) — Johnsonville, Connecticut, a scenic town that was brought to life by the Iglesia Ni Cristo in the United States, was also one of the more than 300 sites of the Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty on Sunday, May 6.
Hundreds of church members trooped to the Johnsonville site in Connecticut to participate in the historic global charity walk that will benefit poor communities in Africa.
The INC purchased the deserted town of Johnsonville in July 2017, marking the second purchase of a town in the United States by the global church. The first property is located in Scenic, South Dakota
