Yellow alert hoisted over Luzon grid on Tuesday, April 30

(Eagle News)–The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines hoisted a yellow alert over Luzon grid on Tuesday, April 30.

The NGCP said the alert, which means reserves have dropped to required minimun levels, is in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Available capacity is at 11,405 MW, the NGCP said, while peak demand was at 10,482 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
