Yellow rainfall advisory hoisted over M. Manila, nearby areas

(Eagle News)–A yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other nearby areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said apart from Metro Manila, covered by the warning was Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Batangas.

Flood-prone areas may as a result experience flooding, the weather bureau said.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are affecting Tarlac, Nueva Ecija and Quezon.

PAGASA said the rains may persist within three hours and may affect nearby areas.

“The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 5 p.m. today,” PAGASA said.
