(Eagle News)– Operatives have killed Norhan Ambol, the top drug personality in Region 9, in an operation in Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur on Sunday (November 27) afternoon.
Ambol was found and killed in one of his hideouts in Sitio Balaisan, Barangay East Magpulao in Dinas town at around 1:25 p.m.
The provincial police said they were joined by members of the Philippine Army, after receiving reports that Ambol was spotted in the hideout.
Ambol and his members fired at the approaching authorities, which resulted in a brief firefight.
The Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office said that aside from being a top drug personality, Ambol was also the leader of a criminal gang involved in gun-for-hire activities and extortion.
